INGRESS GATEWAY ONLINE • t.cogfocus.com

Secure Public Ingress for Your Local Services

Connect localhost servers, preview staging builds, and receive webhooks with instant HTTPS URLs on *.t.cogfocus.com. Built on native asynchronous Rust with zero-configuration multiplexing.

Read Documentation
High-Entropy Subdomains
Every session automatically receives a 16-character alphanumeric subdomain, providing 64 bits of entropy to safeguard webhooks from unauthorized scanning.
BYO Custom Domains
Bring your own enterprise domains (e.g. api.yourcompany.com) by creating a CNAME record. Route directly to local services without relay restarts.
Local Webhook Inspector
Real-time HTTP traffic viewer embedded locally on localhost:4040 with timing analysis and one-click webhook replays.

How CogFocus Tunnel Works

Establish secure bidirectional multiplexing in three straightforward steps.

1
Generate Account & Token
Create a developer account to mint an authenticated bearer token. Save it once to configure your local CLI daemon.
2
Start Outbound Tunnel
Run cogtunnel http 3000. An outbound TLS control stream opens to the relay server. No inbound ports or router changes needed.
3
Receive Public Traffic
Your public HTTPS URL on *.t.cogfocus.com immediately accepts requests from clients, webhooks, and third-party services.

Technical Documentation & CLI Guide

Step-by-step instructions for getting started with CogFocus Tunnel.

1. Download & Install CLI

Install the lightweight cogtunnel client binary on your development workstation:

# 1-Line Installer for macOS & Linux:
curl -sSL https://t.cogfocus.com/install.sh | bash

Or download standalone executables directly:
• Download Linux x86_64 binary
• Download Windows x64 binary

2. Quickstart

Expose any local web application to the internet through a secure HTTPS gateway on *.t.cogfocus.com:

# Forward traffic to local port 3000
cogtunnel http 3000

When the connection is established, the CLI prints your active public URL:

Session Status: Online
Forwarding: https://c5ad48552ddd44dc.t.cogfocus.com -> http://127.0.0.1:3000

3. Configuring Authentication

Register or sign in above to create an authentication token, then save it once on your local machine:

cogtunnel authtoken <YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN>

Tokens are stored securely in ~/.config/cogtunnel/config.toml and automatically authenticate all future tunnel sessions.

4. Reserving Named Subdomains

Request a predictable URL when testing webhooks or sharing preview environments:

cogtunnel http 3000 --subdomain my-service

Yields https://my-service.t.cogfocus.com whenever the subdomain is available.

5. Bring Your Own Domain (CNAME)

Point a CNAME record from your domain (e.g. api.yourcompany.com) to t.cogfocus.com, then launch:

cogtunnel http 3000 --domain api.yourcompany.com

Traffic to your brand's domain resolves directly to your local workstation.

6. Webhook Replay & Traffic Inspector

While any tunnel is running, open http://127.0.0.1:4040 in your browser to inspect incoming HTTP payloads and headers in real time, and trigger one-click request replays.
